3. Miners Carnival



The procession made a turn

All around the temple,

Where there were rich altars

All beautifully cared for.

The dances were notable,

The music came from heaven

And of the size of the multitude

It is impossible to say too much.

And once Our Lord was safely inside

Potosi remained transfixed.

The religious were spellbound

As together they had come

To happily celebrate

The Sacrament of Christ.

And with that the day was over

With the greatest splendor

That human eyes have seen

From the South to the wild North.
