Eric Feinblatt

I've taken portraits as long as I've taken pictures. And though for years I've combined images on my computer screen, I always seem to return to the basic low-tech portrait. I guess it has something to do with what happens between two people face to face.

The photographs to your left were taken on assignment in the 1980's. The clients, to whom in retrospect I am very grateful, were: Marie Claire (France), Vogue (France), Vogue (Germany), HG (USA) and Le Ministère de La Culture (France). All of the portraits are in the permanent collection of the Bibliothèque Nationale, France.

The faces belong to:
  • Jean-Paul Aron
  • Christophe Lambert
  • Lucien Bodard
  • Phillip Johnson
  • Alain Robbe-Grillet
  • Ivry Gitlis
  • William Styron
  • Michel Tournier
  • Oliver Gagnier
  • Serge Gainsbourg
