I’ve been painting seriously for about 20 years and my studio is located in Harlem on 107 Street and 3rd Avenue. I am a life member of the Art Student League of New York and have studied under Ronnie Landfield, Farrell Brickhouse and with Andrew Ginzel. In May 2017, I had a year-long one man show at the Bev Gallery at Molloy College. In the summer of 2018, I participated in a residency at Con Artist Collective and Gallery on Ludlow Street during which was my work was featured during several shows include four-artist show entitled “Transumanza†In Fall 2019, I participated in the Harlem Art Walk artist open house and in 2020 participated in Spark exhibit at the El Barrio's Airspace.
My work seeks to capture the best of my thoughts and translate them into the language of color and form that invites dialogue in the human marketplace of ideas. I paint and work with other mediums, including installations. Whatever, the medium the goal is communicate and express. The different mediums are used as a vehicle to “bear witness†to the world around me as suggested by James Baldwin.
