In a similar way, I saw each change in my young child as being
miraculous and monumental. These changes, which were signified by the
smallest nuances such as finding his feet… or one day being able to
discover his fingers…or learning to sit up, evoked a connection with our
universal and collective experience as human beings, rooted in our deep
past.
